About Veritas
Mission & Philosophy:
The mission of Veritas Academy is to prepare
confident, world-changing Christian leaders
through a challenging program that develops
a mind for Truth, a heart for God, friends
for life and service for eternity.
The foundation of the Veritas Academy experience
is the Word of God. We are confident that
students learn more effectively, understand
their world more completely, and will change
their world more powerfully when they view
every aspect of their lives through the
lens of the God’s Word.
At Veritas Academy, we see the educational
process as a means used by God to develop
in students a personal relationship with
Christ, a mind that is quickened by God
and views all of the world as He does, and
a godly lifestyle that will enable them
to find and enjoy God’s ultimate purposes
for their lives. Students will learn to
view all truth as God’s truth and
will seek to uniquely integrate that truth
into their present life and future planning.
And because we are educating leaders that
will impact our world for Christ, we are
committed to a rigorous and challenging
academic program within a dynamic learning
environment.
Our authority for this type of education
comes from the command of God that children
should be taught to love God and obey Him.
We believe that parents have been given
the responsibility for the total education
of their children. At the parents’
request, we will partner with them and their
local church to help provide an excellent
academic education, practical opportunities
for service, learning outside of the classroom,
and mentoring relationships that will equip
the student to change this world for the
kingdom.
Organization:
Veritas Academy is a nonprofit corporation registered in the State of Maine
dedicated to bringing a spiritually-based educational
model to families in the seacoast area.
Veritas Academy is filed with the State
Board of Education as a private school providing
equivalent instruction. We are applying for tax-exempt status under IRS Code 501(c)(3).
What you can do to help?
We need your help in three areas:
- First, we need your fervent prayers;
please remember to keep us in constant
prayer as we build this academy.
- Second, please pass the word about
Veritas to family and friends who you
think may be interested. We need your
help in recruiting families who have a
heart to see their children be all they
can be in Christ.
- Lastly, would you possibly consider
supporting us with a one-time or recurring
financial gift of any size? Every little
bit would help us since there are start
up costs and many families who desire
this type of experience for their child
cannot afford it.
